We're so excited to take these next steps on our family cabin. My parents, Jim and Marianne Velayas bought this 75 feet of lake front property on Grand Lake, Colorado in 1977 for $22,000 (which was a lot back then). The next year they built the retaining wall... and the year after it was framed.
Over the next 20 years they built it to the point where it is today.
Now, I'm slowly buying my brothers out and my husband (Chris) and I are going to take it to it's next level.
Our family cabin has been enjoyed year after year by family and friends... but it is a seasonal cabin (summer only) so our first mission is to make it a year-around property. The cabin's water comes from Grand Lake and that too must be purified and filtered as part of the renovation.
